Trimo at the Design Festival, held in London in September
Trebnje, 25 August 2011 - The exhibition, Silent Revolutions, presenting modern Slovene design since Slovenian independence, is organised by the Slovene Museum for Architecture and Design, and will be on display at the London Design Festival, 22nd to 25th September. Trimo will be introducing 'Qbiss One' with 'ArtMe'. The London Design Festival is one of the most important design events in the world as it reflects the widest variety of creative pieces of work and ideas. The programme consists of over 280 events and exhibitions prepared by over 200 partner-organisations. In this year’s festival the exhibition, Silent Revolutions, will be presenting a selection of design projects from artists, and creative solutions from companies, made in Slovenia's 20 year existence.The exhibition, Silent Revolutions, is also included in a special independent publication called 'The Icon Design Trail'; their showroom will be marked with a special “Icon” sign. Many consider this sign as the most important guide around the events of the London Design Festival.
The inclusion of the modular façade system 'Qbiss One' with the 'ArtMe' design, into the selection of displayed design pieces for the exhibition, Silent Revolutions, furthermore proves that Trimo products are a synonym for innovation and high production quality, with a touch of artistic inspiration, which is the right answer to modern minimalism in architecture.
Trimo’s modular façade system, Qbiss One, is a self-supporting, insulated, and fire-proof façade which combines pure, minimalistic elements, and architectural spaces, with complete technical solutions. The modular façade system, Qbiss One, with its emphasised joint and its famous 'shadow joint', consists of two galvanised and coloured steel-sheets, with an insulated filling made from non-inflammable lamellate, mineral wool. The system is compatible for installation onto steel or concrete constructions, and additional elements enable unique adjustments to individual buildings. Assembly is simple and quick, suitable for business centres, banks, hotels, shopping centres, etc.
Qbiss One has been used by over 100 companies, including:
- a passenger terminal at Heathrow's Terminal 2, Concourse B, and Heathrow's Terminal 3 Futures, England;
- the Aldershot Centre for Health, England;
- the Educational and culture centre, Harrods Hangar Luton, England;
- a car showroom for Porsche Centrum in Amsterdam, Mitsubishi – Hyundai in Russia, and a Seat showroom in Poland;
- a food-processing plant for Coca Cola's Single Ireland Production Site, Ireland.
ArtMe is Trimo’s newest innovation which enables individualistic designs of façades, with its modern technology for re-shaping surfaces. Trimo can design expressive looks for the façade envelopes, using random graphical patterns, pictures, inscriptions, logos, and other creations. ArtMe patterns can be adjusted to any façade size or façade element. Last year ArtMe received the prestigious international award, Red Dot Design Award, 2010. It was also used at the Centre for Astro-physics, the Jodrell Bank observatory, in England.
