Speech by the General Manager for Trimo's 'Jubilee' award winners
Trebnje, 20th November 2009 − Today, in the Educational and Cultural Centre in Trebnje, it was the 'Jubilee' awards ceremony for this year. At this occasion, Tatjana Fink, Trimo General Manager, addressed the guests.Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
a few days ago I have received a phone call from my good acquaintance who works for an important international company. She asked me for advice and help in finding a new manager for a bigger company in this part of the world.
She explained what knowledge and competencies they are looking for: ''We are looking for a 50+ person.“
That is really rare for people who are thinking of retiring in their early fifties. Evidently the process has started that was discussed in Trimo many years ago.
People will start their second career after their 50th birthday. And maybe their third career when they are 70 or 80. Mrs Drucker, the wife of the famous Peter Drucker, is the first example of an entrepreneur who established her first company when she was in her late eighties.
Every person has their own curve of life. Generally it is true that everyone has to complete their physical growth and reach mental maturity first, if they want to become a responsible and wise person. The milestones in our lives are 22/44/66/88.
At 22 we have completed our childhood and physical growth; between 22 and 44 is a period for mental growth; after 44 we become adult, mature and responsible; at 66 we have a chance to become wise, because we can understand not only ourselves, but also the collective consciousness.
After 88 we can really enjoy life like never before if we have a chance to, and we have taken care of ourselves in the previous years of our curve of life.
It does not matter where you are on your curve of life. What is important is that you constantly develop your own progress.
Now it is time for transformation. We all enjoy new energy. We are in a period of a world-wide process of complete transformation.
The power of the collective spirit, and the way how to act in demanding situations, was clearly shown in Maribor, Slovenia, on 18th November, 2009.
Courage and determination made a step ahead of millions of dollars that day. Victory of our football players was much more than that. Slovenia became great. Others see us that way too. Slovenia was united, as were its high-ranking politicians and all citizens. Trimo has been working like that for a long time.
Sincere congratulations on the first, second, and third decade of your successful work. We are grateful to all of you for your contribution to the development of the Trimo Group.
I would like that the awareness of our inter-independence unites us in the way, in which we became wiser and achieve more.“
