Surprise on Iceland Trebnje, 20 July 2010 – Trimo received an interesting letter from Mojca Kunšek, MA:

CE – Trimo roof and façade panels with the European certificate of conformity

Trebnje, 27 October 2009 – In May 2009, Trimo became the first producer in the world to start regularly labelling building sandwich panels with a 'CE' mark - according to the control system, 1 or 3. The marking system was adapted and well-received in most EU countries.
On October 1, 2009, we received the certificates of conformity for our Trimo panels, which comply with the highest level of conformity with European standards. The conformity certificates were issued by the independent institution - the notification organisation, 1404 ZAG – the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute.

The issued conformity certificates confirm that the products comply with the conformity requirements and procedures, as set out in the European directives for the strictest control systems, 1 or 3.

The following groups of Trimo products are included in system control 1:
- Trimoterm A12T
- Trimoterm B12T
- Trimoterm A10T

Other product groups are included in control system 3:
- Modular façade system 'Qbiss by Trimo'
- EcoSolar
- Trimoterm B10T
- Acoustic

The CE mark unifies the requirements for a clear and publicly accessible declaration of a product's technical specifications. This enables simple comparisons of specifications; and the CE mark also demonstrates that the panel's characteristics were verified in accordance with previously mentioned standards.

Currently, a transition period applies for the product group, according to the standard EN 14509:2006.  This transition period will finish October 1, 2010. This is also the last date when these products can be marketed without the CE mark.
