Trimo’s five: Volunteerism and ecology
Trebnje, 13 July 2011 - The discussion: »You are a change. Change the world for the better.« concluded a series of round table discussions entitled Trimo’s Five. In the discussion about volunteerism and environmental protection participated Dr. Anica Mikuš Kos, Chairwoman of the Slovene Philanthropy, Petra Matos, Chairwoman of the Association Ecology without borders and the organiser of the campaign and action “Clean Slovenia in one day!” and the employees of Trimo Gašper Žemva, Chairman of the Ljubljana cycling network and Aleš Jarc, active member of the Inter-Municipal Association of safety engineers Novo mesto. In spite of the fact that the partners in the discussion are active in several fields, they are united in their wish and willingness to act as volunteers (i.e. free of charge) for the benefit of the others and in favour of the environment. In according with the words of Petra Matos volunteerism helps implementing ideas that seem impossible to be carried out at first sight.
We will remember the round table discussion also because of the enthusiasm the guests showed when speaking about their work.
