Trimo gives 60 awards to the best within the scope of their research awards

Ljubljana, 3 June 2010 – For the ninth time in a row, Trimo bestowed the traditional Trimo research awards to the best diploma papers, expert and master's dissertation and doctoral theses. Trimo's research awards went out to 61 winners from 26 university faculties and eight countries (Austria, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia and Switzerland). more »

Win a survival course with the Craziest Idea

Trebnje, Slovenia, 28th December 2009 – Trimo held its 7th anonymous competition, the Craziest Idea, aimed at encouraging employees and scholars to think unconventionally, from which the most creative and innovative ideas were awarded. This time 3 creators of ideas were awarded; Head of Business Excellence, Polona Briški, for “Trimopedia”; architect Ljudmila Koprivec, for development of the “Woven façade”; and a third unknown creator - who is, according to committee members, part of a Trimo subsidiary abroad - for the idea “an Insulated daylight façade element.” The 3 creators will be awarded with a 3-day survival course. This year we have received fewer ideas than in previous years, but so far employees have proposed over 300 ideas. more »

Urban Ljubljana to be energized with a Polish architectural proposal

Trebnje, April 7th 2009 - Trimo is both proud and excited to announce the winners of the Trimo Urban Crash international competition for students of architecture are Jan Ledwon and Alicja Chola from Poland. With 564 public votes (from visitors to the www.trimo-urbancrash.com website) and a unanimous decision by the expert jury, their proposal for a cultural stage has been chosen for realisation in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana. The second and third place awards go to Slovenian and Italian architecture students. The opening event will take place in Metelkova mesto during the biennial Trimo architecture days between June 4th and 6th, 2009. more »
