The most important criteria for reaching the list of 101 Best employers are (besides commercial success that determines 20 percent of the final assessment) the research findings, determined by the research centre, obtained by interviewing employees in the participating companies. The questionnaire focuses on six areas: 1. Basic relationship between the company and the employees; 2. the role and work quality of individuals in the company; 3. characteristics of the organisational culture and atmosphere, and mutual relationships; 4. entrepreneurship and innovation; 5. quality of the work environment; and 6. personal growth and development.

Upon the announcement of the 21 finalists in the 3 categories of companies (small, medium, large) these finalists were introduced in the newspaper, Dnevnik, which also invited readers to vote for the best employer.
