R&D

It starts with a spark, a flash that leads to an idea. This is followed by the creative development process that translates dreams into an original concept, innovative product or a new service. Our development is placed at the very beginning of Trimo’s chain of complete solutions in order to find efficient solutions for fresh ideas - fast.

We think and act creatively and do not set limits for our work. Cooperation in the development process runs at “a molecular level”. Every time the team – the development molecule - is composed according to the needs of a certain development project. Experts from the field of mechanical engineering, architecture, construction, chemistry, electro technology and other sectors are included to bring a high added value to Trimo’s development work.

We are connected by curiosity, openness, a wish to obtain and apply new know-how and enthusiasm for the created work. The exchange of knowledge, findings and information are vital for the development and introduction of new solutions.

We cooperate with external colleagues, partners and institutions:
Every year we organise theme workshops with larger suppliers,We exchange opinions, suggestions and ideas at meetings with architects and designers,We include knowledge centres in the development processes: universities, research facilities, institutes, as well as companies and individuals that possess the necessary knowledge,
We also cooperate with the CBS Institute , on much basic researches and new products,
We co-ordinate and adjust development priorities with our strategic partners.

In the recent development projects we have cooperated with:

Over 50 R&D partners from Slovenia and other countries (Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Austria, Italy, Russia, etc.).Over 50% of our R&D partners come from other countries. At least 1 international partner cooperated in 75% of our development projects.35% of our development projects were made exclusively in cooperation with international partners.

Inspiration?
We find it everywhere. We follow trends in architecture, fashion, art and science. We are inspired by nature, modern industries (sports, space technology, car industry, information technology), we discover new materials, follow social trends and – of course – we also draw inspiration from ourselves.
